The museum is located in the Campus Agroalimentare Raineri Marcora, a large complex housing Istituto Tecnologico Statale di Istruzione Superiore Agraria, Agroalimentare e Agroindustriale in Piacenza. The collection documents the focal aspects

of rural life through the exhibition of tools used for tilling the soil, but also to transform and process products from the plain, the hills and the mountain; furniture and objects of everyday life of pheasant families (food, popular religion, toys, clothes, means of transport, popular medicine). The exhibition is particularly interesting for the black and white photographs by Tino Petrelli (1922-2001), who spent in Piacenza the last years of his long career.
