Ciambella (Busslan)

 

Ingredients

Flour
Sugar
Butter
Eggs
Milk
Raising powder
Lemon
Salt

 

Preparation method

Lay flour on the table, put in the centre 180 grams of butter, softened, 180 grams of sugar, 3 egg yolks, a pinch of salt, some grated lemon rind; add a pouch of  baking powder and pour half a glass of milk or white wine slowly. Make a roll, join the two ends in a garland shape, put in a greased tin and bake at low temperature for about 30 minutes. Before baking you may spread the surface with the white of an egg and granulated sugar or chopped almonds.
