Cured meats



As everybody knows, Emilia is the kingdom of pork meat. But in Piacenza its sovereignty is absolute.

Three types of cured meats are DOP: ‘Coppa’, ‘Pancetta’ and ‘Salame’.
These three delicacies were already loved in the 18th century at the court of Philip 5th, husband of Elisabetta Farnese, and we love to think they might have had a positive influence on important decisions.
Piacenza’s cured meats still hold this power today...
